A typical day at Paddington Academy

The school day at Paddington Academy may be slightly different to what you have been used to at primary school. Below outlines what a typical day at Paddington Academy is like.

Before School
8:00 - 8:30

You can arrive at school and are able to meet your friends in the playground or join breakfast club in the canteen where food and drink are available and a library service is run.

Break Time
10.30 – 10.35

During break you have a choice of where to go. You can meet your friends in the playground or you can buy some food and sit down to eat in the restaurant area.

Period 2

10.40 - 12.20

This is a 100 minute lesson of a particular subject on your timetable and will take place in a subject specific room.

Tutor Time
12.00- 12.50

During this time you will follow a tutor programme and will complete different activities each day. For one day a week you have assembly during this time and for one day a week you have silent reading.

Lunch Time
12.50 - 1.35

During lunch time you have a choice of where to go. You can buy some food and sit down to eat in either the canteen where you have a choice of hot dishes and salads and puddings or the cafeteria area where we serve sandwiches and salads. If you bring a packed lunch to school then you can eat in any designated area. There are also a number of clubs and activities that you can go to during lunch time including the library or you can go outside to the playground.

Period 3
1.45 - 3.25

This is a 100 minute lesson of a particular subject on your timetable and will take place in a subject specific room.

End of the Day
3.25

There are a number of clubs and activities that take place after school every day. At Paddington Academy we enourage all students to take part in a club or activity and if we do not run a club that you would like then let us know and we will do our best to try and make it happen!
