| GCSE Course description | |
|
The Core and Additional Science course leads to two GCSEs. You will study a range of topical science issues ranging from global warming to designer babies. You will develop the skills to interpret the science that you come across in everyday life and the media. Additional Science stretches your knowledge to a more in depth understanding of a range of concepts in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and prepares you for future paths in Science. |

This is a work-related course where you will carry out predominantly assignment-based or practical work to produce your own portfolio as evidence: these will be graded distinction*, distinction, merit or pass and could be worth two GCSEs. |
