Paddington Academy's Exam Success
Transformational exam results for Y9, Y11 and 6F students have capped a great year for us at Paddington. We have made a huge amount of progress in our new buildings. The performance of our students in their exams makes all the hard work of last year worthwhile.
Students in Year 9 gained brilliant KS3 SAT results in English, Maths and Science. All results show progress on those of 2007 and on 2006 too. Our GCSE (and equivalent results) were outstanding.
The transformation that this represents has been achieved by hard work, a focus on attainment and giving our students the opportunity to outperform themselves.
At the moment our analysis shows that 91% of students studying English met or got better than their targets. In some cases they were being predicted D and gained A or A*!
In the sixth form we also made real progress. All students who wanted to go to university got their places. The progress made by our students at A Level puts Paddington academy in the top 20% of schools nationally. This year the sixth form has had a large number of requests for places from students at other schools
