Year 10 Practise and Assessment Bronze Award Expedition

A number of our Year 10 students went to the South Downs Way (near Newhaven Town) over the half term holidays.

They completed their practise and assessment expedition back to back, which was very similar to a gold expedition!

They did exceptionally well considering they had never done anything like it before, especially walking 13km a day whilst carrying their food supply and clothing for 4 days. They had a great sense of team spirit and working together to reach their goal.

The assessor was very impressed with the students, commenting on how well they worked in a group and how quickly they had learnt from their mistakes along the way. She also said that she rarely ever writes to schools but she will be in the case of Paddington Academy, and the positive way in which they represented both themselves and the academy.

The students involved have now successfully completed their Bronze Award
