THIS IS GEOGRAPHY!
This is an introduction to studying geography at KS3. Students will learn map and investigation skills that will be used throughout KS3 geography. They will also study the fantastic places around the world and how tourism is changing these places for the better or the worse
CONTRASTING COUNTRIES
We will study two countries in the world and look at how they are similar and how they are different. We will look at a range of factors including human and physical factors and how the countries have changed and developed over time. We will also look at the future of the country and suggest what possible changes could happen in the future for both the countries.

POWER & CONFLICT IN THE MIDDLE AGES, 1066 -1381
This is an introduction to studying English history that covers some of the most famous and exciting characters and events, from William the Conqueror to the Peasants’ revolt!

CRIME & PUNISHMENT, FROM ANCIENT TIMES TO TODAY.
We will also study an exciting and wide-ranging ‘thematic’ topic. We will be looking at how people in different times and cultures across history have thought about crimes and how they have punished people. This topic will cover ancient Romans, the middle ages, Tudor England, right up to the 20th Century. It is an introduction to social history – how people’s lives and ideas have changed over time.

ISLAM AS A LIVING RELIGION
In this topic we will be studying some of the key beliefs of Islam such as beliefs about God, the life of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and social issues such as the position of women in Islam and problems surrounding Islamophobia

WHO WAS JESUS?
What colour skin did Jesus have? Did Jesus really die? What do other religions believe about Jesus? These are some of the questions that students will be exploring in this topic, in which we examine key Christian beliefs about Jesus and compare these with those of other religions
