Healthy Lifestyles
Students will study healthy lifestyles and the wellbeing of self and others. They will be introduced to information to assist them in making responsible choices in the future and learn that physical, mental, and emotional health affect our ability to lead fulfilling lives.
They will also study the risks and dangers of alcohol and smoking and discover how to manage risk to themselves and others in a range of situations

Relationships
In this session students gain knowledge of different types of relationships and how they affect everything we do. Relationship skills will be learnt and practiced so students will gain a better understanding of how and why relationships cause strong emotions and feelings. Personal hygiene, puberty and sex education will be introduced as well as the physical and emotional changes that take place when growing up.

Global Studies
In this session students will explore the impact that humans have on our planet as a whole. They will also investigate school and Westminster community cohesion and the different forces that bring about change in communities over time. A particular focus in this area will be how students can help both their school environment as well as their community.

Living in the UK
Students will explore student rights and obligations and how these affect both individuals and communities. They will examine to diverse national, regional, ethnic and religious cultures within the UK. They will also participate actively in decision making and voting in order to influence public life and gain competence in weighing up what is fair and unfair in different situations.

Diversity Careers
Students will study about diversity within communities focusing on the differences between people including race, religion, culture, ability, gender or age. They will learn about forms of prejudice and discrimination.
Students will move into learning about the diversity of jobs and careers concentrating specifically how to manage money and personal finances.

Economic Understanding & Enterprise Pupils will gain the skills to assess risk, both positive and negative, when dealing with business organisations. They will be introduced to enterprise, entrepreneurship, business skills and personal qualities that make people successful in the future. |
