In this five week project students are given the premise ‘You can be a successful learner if you know how.’
In teams, students:
• Question and research what makes a successful learner?
• Create a story considering the theme ‘successful learning’ aimed at primary school children
• Turn it into a script
• Consider Mise-en-scene and build a set.
• Film their story using camcorders, lights and puppets
• Edit their story
• Evaluate their film |
In this dynamic eight week project students undertake the study of narrative, genre, character, language, audience and technology. Students are challenged to consider social issues such as violence in computer games, the significance of computer games as a popular medium, responsibility, and censorship.
Alongside developing a theoretical understanding students are given the opportunity to produce their own computer game and to create packaging for it, thereby giving students a practical understanding for the development of computer games. |
