  • Produce a proposal for a magazine 
  • Research and produce a feature article on a social issue directed to specific target audience
  • Design cover, content page, back advertisement and feature story (mock-up)
  • Produce above using publisher
  • Supporting account of production (700-800 words)

  • Historical context of the popular press
  • To analyse, interpret and comment on codes and conventions of non-contemporary and contemporary examples of popular press to consider: aspects of style, presentation, values, audience and context.
  • Demonstrating understanding of codes and by utilising practical production skills e.g. layout design, mock-ups, editorial
