PADDINGTON ACADEMY TOPS THE TABLES
DfE tables show academy is best in Westminster for Progress 8
According to Department for Education Performance Tables published today, students at Paddington Academy make the most progress of any students in Westminster. The academy has a Progress 8 score of 0.78 which is well above the national average. Progress 8 measures the amount of progress students make between the end of primary school and the end of Year 11.
Peter Jones, Principal at Paddington Academy, said:
“We are delighted to see the hard work of our students reflected in our standing in this year’s tables which show the added value that being at Paddington can make. There are a lot of very good schools in Westminster so it is particularly pleasing to have come top of the table. At Paddington Academy, we are proud to welcome students from a wide range of backgrounds with very different starting points. Our staff work tirelessly to give every single student an education which suits their abilities and stretches them to achieve their very best. This figure demonstrates the transformative power of education to change lives.
“We are never complacent at Paddington and everyone across the academy continues to work hard and our current cohort of Year 11 are on track to achieve even better results this summer.”
