Paddington Academy has a history of outstanding exam results. We are frequently in the top 10% of schools nationally for our results. In 2025, our GCSE results were the highest in the school's nineteen year history.

  • 40% of all A Level grades were A*-A
  • 95% of A Level grades were A*-C 
  • 72% of BTEC/vocational entries achieved grade Distinction or Distinction and  93% were graded at Merit or above.
  • More than two thirds of Year 11 students (68%) achieved a grade 5 or above in both GCSE English and maths, whilst a quarter of the cohort (26%) were awarded a grade 7 or higher in the two subjects.

2022 Exam Results

Nearly three quarters of students achieved a grade 5 or above in English and maths in 2022

A high percentage (83%) of students at the academy take the English Baccalaureate (which covers five key subjects – English, maths, sciences, a language and history/geography) and 55% of them achieved this at a grade 5 or above in all subjects taken as part of this.
