On 25th January 2016, students from Paddington Academy took to the stage for a sold-out performance at London’s prestigious Lyceum Theatre. 

Conducted by popular composer Alexander L’Estrange, Paddington Academy students and staff joined a host of schools from all across the country to present songs from Zimbe!  Those involved were all part of United Learning – our umbrella organisation - a unique group of state and independent schools located across the country from Portsmouth to Carlisle. 

At 12.25pm on Monday 13th July 2015, 300 PA students and staff sat in the Assembly Hall eagerly anticipating what would become a true highlight of the school year.  Entering stage left was a university professor of world-renown, a member of the House of Lords, a politician, a BAFTA award winning television presenter and one of the world’s most famous moustaches.  

During the the first week of May at the same time as the national general election, Paddington Academy held its own election – the first ever PA mock election - led by students for students.  The activity gave students the opportunity to understand the democratic process in the UK and to have the experience of choosing their candidate and supporting them.

A sixth form student at Paddington Academy has been chosen as the John Adams Society (JAS) Youth Representative for the UK.

At the end of March 2014, SBTV founder and CEO Jamal Edwards visited Paddington Academy and spoke to students as part of the BBC School Report initiative. 

Jamal, who grew up locally on an estate in Acton, started SBTV in 2006 as a teenager and has grown the YouTube channel into a multimillion pound online youth [...]

A former Paddington Academy student, Ara Shikalislami, has become Captain of Warwick University Polo team.  Last month, he led his team to victory at the Winter Nationals, the largest competition in the world, at Rugby Polo Club. The Warwick University team was competing against 29 other universities, and scored victories against Oxford, London and Birmingham in the final.
